Hi folks, my name is Danah, pronounced DAN-uh and I received my masters degree in 2020 from Indiana University South Bend in social work with an emphasis on both Mental Health & Addictions and School Social Work. I have since worked with students within the academic environment and community from pre-k through 12th grade and adults 18 plus at the residential/in-patient LOC. I consider myself a lifelong learner and have chosen to continue my education so that I can serve a greater population of humans and continue to grow alongside my clients.
I have grown passionate about youth and adults who are struggling with mental health as well as substance use issues. These struggles may include but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief & loss, LGBTQ/identity issues, PTSD, relationships challenges, and alcohol & other substance use. I enjoy exploring these struggles through client-centered, strengths-based, and solution focused approaches with my clients. If you are seeking a space where you are able to share pieces of yourself and story, I will meet you with honor, a willingness to understand, and show love and unconditional positive regard. As I find myself in the balance with clients, I often will challenge thought processes that are of disservice to one's foundation and the goals that a client has established for themselves. This balance also consists of education, fun, and empowerment to lean into our pre-existing skill set to better navigate challenging seasons.
I believe that we spend too many moments devoid of love and support, & here we are together.
