My name is Erin Floyd. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work from Goshen College and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked as a behavior therapist for children on the Autism Spectrum, which led me to discover my passion for education while working in schools. I obtained my Transition to Teaching certificate and served as a professional educator from 2015 to 2020.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, I transitioned to working as a private tutor and educator for kindergarten to 8th grade learners. During this time, I found a love for one-on-one work and decided to return to mental health counseling. I completed my practicum and internship experiences as a counselor at Michiana Counseling Group from 2023 to 2024.

I am excited to join Cornerstone Family Therapy as an LMHCA, where I aim to work with diverse clients and address various concerns. I strive to help clients gain insight and self-awareness as they work through life’s unique challenges. I am a strong believer in the importance of holistic wellness drawing from a client-centered approach. I also utilize CBT techniques, trauma-informed care, and attachment theory. My experiences in education and counseling have taught me the importance of assessing individual needs and meeting clients exactly where they are. I believe that growth is always possible and that everyone has the power to create positive change.
